A Rant: The Cruelty Behind Breeding Teacup Pigs (Originally posted on Facebook)

I might hem and haw about the pigs.. how bad they are.. how pissed off they make me, ect... But in all honesty, I don't think I could see my life without them. Especially Pickle.

What pisses me off more than people naming their pet pigs things like "bacon", "hammy", "BLT", "porkchop", ect, is when they buy teacup pigs.

The whole process for producing a teacup pig is so revolting and cruel...

Here's what they do:

I can't shake it when my cat's on my lap...

I will be posting this on my other dA as well, since I really do need answers.

A friend of mine wants to commission me to make her four personalized blankets for her little girls (not four each; four total), but I have no idea what to charge her. I don't give discounts to friends, since I charge fairly, in general. I know cost is based on yarn cost and time, but I need a base price. Blanket would be big enough to fit on a single size bed.

Any input would be nice.
